My Mission: The world of college admissions has become overly complex over the past decade leading to an industry of overpriced "consultants" promising to get you into the colleges of your dreams while charging a hefty price for the service. Over the past 20+ years I have worked on the frontlines of college admissions in a variety of high schools from Miami to New York City and have watched this evolution firsthand.  What I have learned is that there are no secrets or loopholes that only college consultants know.  Rather, it is through hard work, determination, and good old fashioned research that students are accepted into their dream colleges.  Students get in because colleges recognize that they fit the characteristics that they are seeking.  The "trick" is in making sure that colleges see you as you truly are and know that you are truly interested in them.  It is in showing a college that you are a fit because of a connection between their values and yours.  My dream is to help students identify their dream college or path in life, teach them how to recognize their own strengths, and then show them how to share that with the colleges of their choice.   Let me be straightforward in saying that you absolutely CAN do this process on your own.  Don't get roped into paying some ridiculous fee for a college admissions or financial aid consultant to do what you can do on your own. For a very straightforward description of the fees and services that I provide please visit www.askthecollegecounselor.com.  If you can not afford to pay those fees, reach out to me and we will figure out a price that works for you. If you would simply like to learn more about me or make use of the information I have in this web site, please feel free to browse as much as you like.
