Free SAT and College Prep Programs
Mosholu Montefiore Community Center College Bound Program
The College Bound Program was designed with providing all students who are interested in going to college with access to the information needed to make informed choices.
The counselors meet with students/parents for one-on-one sessions, typically lasting one hour each. Every year the College Bound Program serves over 1000 students and their families and sends 400 graduates to college.
The College Bound Program Offers:
College Counseling: Individual counseling on college searches, college applications, financial aid and more
Free College Trips: Day Trips to local colleges and universities
Low Cost SAT Preparation
Courses: Computer Programs, Study Groups, Fall and Spring Class for Students
Workshops: Monthly workshops on topics including college applications, financial aid, scholarships, college essays and more. Students and Parents
We ask students to arrive on time for appointments, and call ahead if rescheduling is needed.
Appointments are available from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

EXPANDED HORIZONS
SERVICES: The goal of Expanded Horizons is to help disadvantaged young people achieve acceptance into college. The program empowers youth by engaging them in educational, recreational, and preparatory activities ranging from college trips and SAT preparation classes to individual counseling and workshops.

MINDS MATTER
SERVICES: Minds Matter pairs high-achieving, low-income high school students with dedicated mentors to achieve academic excellence and expand educational horizons. By working with their mentors and attending top-tier summer college prep programs, Minds Matter's students gain academic and social enrichment while strengthening their college applications. Program activities include researching and selecting summer programs and/or colleges/universities, preparing applications, applying for scholarships and financial aid, and attending weekly Test Prep and Writing & Critical Thinking classes. OPTIONS Center for Educational & Career Choice Goddard Riverside’s OPTIONS Center for Educational and Career Choice shows New York City students they can go to college and guides them through the steps to enrollment. Any student with passing grades, a high school diploma and the desire should have the opportunity to go to college – that is what OPTIONS is about.
